Digital visiting card for shops

Show your products with prices and photos, opening hours and map pin on one link. Customers save your number in one tap, order on WhatsApp and find your shop — and the QR code on your counter does not need reprinting when your prices change.

In short

A digital visiting card for a shop is a one-page mobile mini website on your own link and QR code. It shows your products with prices and photos, opening hours and address, with buttons to call, WhatsApp or get directions. Customers open it without an app, save your number in one tap and send enquiries to your dashboard.

Why does a shop need a digital visiting card?

Many neighbourhood shops already take orders on WhatsApp. Customers message to ask a rate, check whether an item is in stock or find out if you deliver to their colony. A paper kirana shop visiting card or pamphlet cannot answer any of that, and it goes out of date the day your prices change.

A digital visiting card for shops is a mobile page on your own link, such as cardlinkr.com/your-shop-name, with its own QR code. It works like a one-page mini website for your shop. Customers open it in any phone browser — neither you nor they install an app — and can:

  • save your shop's number in one tap, so your shop name shows when you call or message them;
  • see your products with prices and photos;
  • call, WhatsApp or email you, or open directions to the shop;
  • send an enquiry, which is saved in your dashboard even when you are busy at the counter;
  • book a time slot if you offer fittings, repairs or meetings for bulk orders.

A digital visiting card for business suits any local trade, but it is especially useful for a shop, whose prices, stock and offers change often. Kirana stores, sweet shops, bakeries, boutiques, mobile and electronics shops, stationers and hardware stores all field the same questions before a customer walks in.

What should your shop's card show?

Start from the Retailer template and fill in these parts first:

  • Shop name, photo and one line about what you sell — for example, "Grocery, dairy and household items — home delivery nearby".
  • Products with prices and photos — every plan includes products. Add your most-asked items first rather than your whole stock, and write the unit next to the price (per kg, per piece, per dozen, 500 ml pack) so nobody has to ask.
  • Gallery — a photo of your shop front and signboard helps a first-time customer recognise the place. Add photos of the inside and of new arrivals.
  • Opening hours — set the hours for each day and mark your weekly closed day. Change them for festival and wedding-season timings.
  • Address and map pin — use the exact map location of your shop, not the market's general pin, so the Directions button brings customers to your door. Add a landmark in words: "next to the ATM, ground floor".
  • Services — home delivery area, alterations, repairs, gift wrapping, bulk orders for functions.

Photos that work on a phone screen are shot in daylight, on a plain background, one product per photo, with the pack size or label visible. You can write in Hindi, English or both — for many neighbourhood shops, product names in Hindi with prices in numbers are easiest for customers to read.

How do WhatsApp orders and the WhatsApp store work?

Add your WhatsApp number and your card shows a WhatsApp button. A customer taps it and a chat with your number opens, ready for them to type the order. For many kirana and daily-needs shops, that is all you need.

If you want customers to pick items first, use the WhatsApp store, included on every plan except Starter. It is a product catalogue that opens from your card: customers choose items and send the order to you on WhatsApp. You then reply to confirm stock, the total, the delivery time and how they will pay.

  • Payment stays as it is today. Customers pay you directly by UPI, cash on delivery or at the counter, as they do now. CardLinkr never handles your customers' money.
  • Nothing is sent automatically. The customer sends the order; you or your staff reply from your own WhatsApp.
  • Keep the catalogue honest. Remove items that are out of stock and update prices when your supplier's rate changes, so orders do not turn into arguments.
  • Say what you deliver and where. Put your delivery area, minimum order and delivery timings in the description, so customers outside your area know before they order.

Where should you put your QR code in the shop?

Your card's QR code never changes, so you can print it once and use it everywhere:

  • Counter standee — place it near the billing counter with a clear line such as "Scan to save our number and order on WhatsApp".
  • Keep it apart from your UPI QR. Customers scan whatever QR is in front of them. Put the payment QR and the card QR on separate stands with different labels, so nobody tries to pay by scanning your card.
  • Bills and receipts — if your billing software can print a logo or image, add the QR at the bottom of each bill.
  • Carry bags, parcel stickers and boxes — a sticker goes home with every order, so your number is at hand when the customer wants to order again.
  • Shutter, window and signboard — people passing after closing time can still save your number.
  • Your WhatsApp Business profile and Google Business Profile — add the card link as your website.

Before printing in bulk, test the QR with two or three different phones from where a customer will actually stand. On every plan except Starter you can design the QR code in your own colours; keep strong contrast between the code and its background so it still scans in a dim shop.

How do you change festive offers without reprinting?

Diwali, Dhanteras, Eid, Raksha Bandhan, the wedding season and school reopening all bring short offers. On paper, each one means a new pamphlet. On a digital card you edit the offer from your dashboard in a few minutes, and the same link and QR code show it as soon as you save.

  1. Add the offer as a product with its photo, the offer price and the last day — for example, "Dry fruit gift box, 500 g — offer till Sunday".
  2. Put festive items first and add photos of your festive display to the gallery.
  3. Share the card link on your WhatsApp Status and with regular customers.
  4. When the offer ends, remove it or change the price back the same day. An expired offer on your card costs you trust at the counter.

Because the QR code stays the same, the standee on your counter and the stickers on last month's bags all open the current offer.

If you only need a QR code that saves your number, the free digital visiting card maker makes one without sign-up. That QR is fixed once printed, so it cannot show new prices or offers.

How can customers find and recommend your shop?

Google reviews. Google Business Profile lets you create a link that opens your review form. Add that link to your card as a custom link labelled "Review us on Google". Then ask at the right moment — at billing, when a customer is happy with the purchase.

  • Do not offer a discount, gift or cashback in return for a review. Google's review policies do not allow incentives, and such reviews can be removed.
  • Do not write reviews yourself or ask family and staff to post them.
  • Reply to reviews, good and bad, from your Google Business Profile.

The testimonials section on your card is filled in by you; it does not pull reviews from Google. Only add words a customer actually said and agreed to let you show.

Business directory. Cards with an active plan can be listed in the CardLinkr business directory. The listing is optional. It is one more place for people to find your card; it does not replace your Google listing or promise walk-ins.

What does a digital visiting card for a shop cost?

Every new account starts with a 30-day free trial with Pro features and no payment details. After that, plans start at ₹999 a year or ₹249 a month, or ₹4,999 once for Lifetime.

  • Starter covers the basics: products with prices and photos, gallery, enquiry form, appointments, custom links and every template.
  • Pro adds the WhatsApp store, custom QR code design, a count of card views and the option to hide CardLinkr branding.
  • The Business plan, with three cards and your own domain, suits an owner with more than one shop or branch.

Short on time? Add done-for-you setup to the Pro plan at checkout, and our team contacts you within 1 working day. Pay online by UPI, debit or credit card or net banking; when you upgrade, the unused part of your current plan is counted. Compare every plan on the pricing page.

Frequently asked questions

Is this a website for my shop?

It works like a one-page mini website on your own link: products, prices, photos, opening hours, map and contact buttons. On the Business and Lifetime plans you can use your own domain instead of a cardlinkr.com link.

Do my customers need an app to open the card?

No. The card opens in any phone browser from your link or QR code, and customers can save your number in one tap.

Can customers pay on my card?

Customers pay you directly, by UPI, cash or card, the way they do today. Orders reach you on WhatsApp or through the enquiry form, and CardLinkr never handles your customers' money.

Can I change prices every week?

Yes. Edit any product's price, photo or description from your dashboard whenever you like. The link and QR code stay the same, so nothing needs reprinting.

Can I write product names in Hindi?

Yes. You can write your card in Hindi, English or both.

I have two shops. Do I need two cards?

If each shop has its own address, hours and products, a separate card for each is clearer for customers. The Business plan includes three cards; for five or more, talk to us.
