Digital visiting card for insurance agents
Share one link that shows who you are, the insurer you represent, the policies you handle and how to reach you for a claim. Families forward it in WhatsApp groups, and every referral can reach you as an enquiry.
A digital visiting card for an insurance agent is a one-page mobile profile with your name, photo, agent details, the insurer you represent, the types of policy you handle and call and WhatsApp buttons. Clients open it from a link or QR code without an app, save your number and send an enquiry that lands in your dashboard.
Why are insurance agents moving to digital visiting cards?
Much of an agent's business comes through people who already know you: a relative, a client's colleague, a neighbour's son who has just started his first job. Many of those introductions now happen in family and housing-society WhatsApp groups, where a paper card cannot travel. A digital visiting card can.
- Referrals travel as a link. When a client says "talk to my agent", they forward your card. The new person sees your photo and details and saves your number in one tap.
- Your card grows with your work. Start with life insurance, add health or motor policies later, and update the card from the dashboard. The link and QR code stay the same, so a link you shared long ago still shows your current details.
- Clients find you at claim time. A claim is when clients need you most and are least likely to find an old paper card. A saved contact with a clear claim-help line makes you easy to reach.
- Enquiries do not get lost in chats. The enquiry form saves every request in your dashboard, so a referral from a busy group does not scroll away.
What should an insurance agent's visiting card show?
- Name, clear photo and city — people trust a face they recognise from the group chat.
- Agent details as your insurer allows — for example your agent code and branch. Ask your branch or development officer what you should show and in what form.
- The insurer you represent, in text only — write it as plain text, such as "Insurance agent — [insurer name]". Do not add the insurer's logo unless the insurer has given you permission.
- Policy types you handle — add each one as a service: term life, savings and endowment plans, health, motor, travel, home or shop insurance. Add a short line on who each one suits, without return figures.
- Claim help — a clear line such as "Claim support: call or WhatsApp", the number you actually answer, and what to keep ready, such as the policy number.
- Servicing — tell clients they can message you about premium due dates, nominee changes or address updates.
- Languages — write the card in Hindi, English or both, so older clients can read it easily.
If you also distribute mutual funds, show your ARN (AMFI Registration Number) and describe your role accurately as a mutual fund distributor. If you want a financial advisor visiting card, choose the title with care: do not call yourself an "investment adviser" unless you hold that registration. Check current AMFI guidance on what distributors should show; this is not legal advice.
The Consultant template is a good starting point for an insurance advisor visiting card. Every plan includes all 40+ templates, and you can switch designs later without changing your link.
How do you collect referrals and plan renewal conversations?
Two features on every plan do most of the work.
- The enquiry form — a referred person can send their name, contact and a short message ("need health cover for my parents") without having to call a stranger. Every enquiry is saved in your dashboard, so you can follow up in order.
- Appointment slots — set the hours you are free for meetings or calls, and let clients book a slot for a policy review, a new proposal or a renewal discussion.
The card does not send renewal reminders for you. A simple routine works: when you send your own reminder on WhatsApp a few weeks before a premium is due, add your card link and a line such as "Book a short review call here". The client picks a time and the booking appears in your dashboard.
On the Pro, Business and Lifetime plans you also see how many times your card has been viewed, a rough sign of whether your sharing is reaching people. It is a count of views, not a list of who viewed.
What compliance points should an insurance agent keep in mind?
Insurance agents work under the rules of IRDAI, the insurance regulator, and of the insurer they represent. These rules can cover how agents describe products and what promotional material they may use.
- Check with your insurer first. Many insurers ask agents to get approval before using material that names the company or its products. Ask your branch before you share your card widely.
- No logos without permission. Insurer names and logos are their trademarks. Use the name in text, and use a logo only if the insurer has allowed it in writing.
- Never promise returns. Do not write "guaranteed returns", "double your money" or bonus figures. Describe the type of cover instead.
- Make it clear you are an agent. Your card should not look like the insurer's own page or one of its offices.
- Name only the insurers you are appointed by.
These points apply whether you are making an LIC agent visiting card or one for a private insurer. CardLinkr is a digital visiting card service. It is not affiliated with LIC or any insurer, and a CardLinkr card is not approved or endorsed by any insurer or regulator.
Check the current rules on the IRDAI website and with your insurer, and for mutual funds on the AMFI website. This is not legal advice.
How do you share your card in WhatsApp groups without spamming?
Family and society groups are where referrals start, and also where people mute pushy members. A few habits keep you welcome:
- Share when someone asks. When a member asks if anyone knows a health insurance agent, reply with one line and your link. That is the moment your card is most useful.
- Post rarely. A short greeting at Diwali or a note before the tax-saving season, not daily product posts.
- Use your WhatsApp Status for updates; people who are interested will tap through.
- Ask happy clients to forward it. After a claim or a policy delivery goes well, ask: "If anyone in your family needs help, please forward my card."
- Write the message yourself. When you paste the link, put your name and one line about what you do in the message. Do not rely on the link preview to show your name.
Offline, print the QR code on your paper cards, your office board and the folder you hand over with policy documents. If someone asks what a digital card is, the guide what is a digital visiting card explains it in plain words.

Frequently asked questions
Can I use the LIC logo on my card?
Only if LIC has given you permission. Insurer logos are their trademarks, and insurers usually have rules on how agents may use them. Write the insurer's name in text, and check with your branch or development officer before you add any logo. CardLinkr is not affiliated with LIC or any insurer.
Is CardLinkr linked to LIC or any insurance company?
No. CardLinkr is an independent digital visiting card service by LeadsIGo, Lucknow. It is not affiliated with, approved by or endorsed by LIC, any other insurer or IRDAI.
Can I show more than one insurer?
Yes, if you are appointed by each of them. Name each insurer in text and list the policy types you handle for each one. Check the terms of each appointment and your insurers' rules first.
Can clients send me policy documents through the card?
The enquiry form is meant for contact details and a short message. Ask clients not to send policy documents, ID proofs or medical details through it, and collect those through your insurer's official process.
I am also a mutual fund distributor. What should I show?
Show your ARN and describe your role accurately as a mutual fund distributor. Do not call yourself an investment adviser unless you hold that registration. Check current AMFI guidance on what to show; this is not legal advice.
Do clients need an app to open my card?
No. It opens in any phone browser from your link or QR code, and clients save your number in one tap. You can write the card in Hindi, English or both.
