Digital visiting card for chartered accountants

Give clients one link with your services, the documents to send and the times you are free. They save your number in one tap, check what to bring for ITR or GST work and book a slot — without another round of calls in filing season.

In short

A digital visiting card for a chartered accountant is a one-page mobile profile with your name, CA designation, firm, office address and the services you offer, such as ITR, GST and audit. Clients open it from a link or QR code without an app, save your number in one tap, see a document checklist and request an appointment.

Why do chartered accountants use a digital visiting card?

In the weeks before income tax, GST and audit due dates, the same questions arrive again and again: "Which documents do you need?", "When can I come to the office?", "Do you also handle GST registration?", "Can you send the address?". Each answer is a call or a typed message while you are in the middle of a return.

A CA visiting card in digital form answers those questions once. It is a mobile page on your own link, such as cardlinkr.com/your-name, with its own QR code. Clients open it in any phone browser without installing an app, and can:

  • save your name, firm, mobile, email and office address to their phonebook in one tap;
  • read the list of services you offer and the documents to keep ready;
  • pick an appointment slot within the hours you set;
  • call, WhatsApp, email or open directions to your office;
  • send an enquiry, which is saved in your dashboard so it does not get lost in a busy week.

You can edit the card from your dashboard any time — a new office, new hours, an extra service — and the link and QR code stay the same.

What should a CA's digital visiting card include?

A good chartered accountant visiting card format is short and factual. Start from the Consultant template and add:

  • Name with the CA designation, used in the way ICAI permits. If you want to show the CA logo, check ICAI's current guidance on how members may use it first.
  • Firm name and your role — proprietor or partner.
  • Membership number and firm registration number (FRN), where ICAI's guidance allows them to be shown.
  • Qualifications — degrees and any ICAI post-qualification certificates, written exactly as awarded.
  • Office address and map location — with floor, building and a landmark, so first-time clients do not call for directions.
  • Office hours — including the weekly holiday and any change in hours during the busy months.
  • Phone, WhatsApp and email — if your office uses a separate number or email for documents, show it clearly.
  • Services, one short factual entry each: income tax returns (ITR) for salaried, business and NRI clients; GST registration and returns; TDS returns; statutory and tax audit; company and LLP compliance; accounting and bookkeeping; project reports for bank loans.
  • Languages — the card can be written in Hindi, English or both.

Every plan includes all 40+ digital visiting card templates, so you can pick a plainer design later without changing your link.

How do you keep the card informational, not an advertisement?

ICAI's Code of Ethics restricts advertising and solicitation by members. The safe approach is to treat your card as an information page for people who already have your contact or ask for it — not as a promotion.

  • No claims of superiority. Leave out words such as "best CA", "top", "No. 1", "guaranteed refund" or "error-free filing".
  • No fee comparisons or offers. Avoid lines like "lowest fees in the city" or "ITR at half price".
  • No testimonials, client names or client logos. Do not add testimonials, and switch the testimonials section off in your card's section settings. Listing clients can read as solicitation and raises confidentiality questions.
  • Describe services, not results. Write "Filing of income tax returns for salaried individuals", not "Get the maximum refund".
  • Share, do not broadcast. Send the link to clients and to people who ask for your details, rather than to WhatsApp groups or lists of strangers.
  • Choose directory listings carefully. Listing in the CardLinkr business directory is optional, so you can keep your card out of it.

ICAI also issues guidance on what members' and firms' websites may show. Your card is a public web page, so it makes sense to check that guidance as well. On every plan except Starter you can hide CardLinkr branding for a plainer, more formal card.

This is not legal or professional advice. Check the current Code of Ethics and any announcements on the ICAI website before you publish or share your card.

How do you share a document checklist with clients?

Clients ask what to bring every year. Put the answer where they can open it any time — either in the description of each service, or as a post in your card's blog, which every plan includes. Adjust the lists below to your own practice and update them when the forms or rules change.

Income tax return (salaried individual)

  • PAN and Aadhaar
  • Form 16 from the employer
  • Annual Information Statement (AIS) and Form 26AS
  • Bank account details and interest certificates
  • Proofs for any deductions claimed, such as investments, insurance premiums and home loan interest
  • Capital gains statements from the broker or mutual fund
  • Details of other income, such as rent or freelance work

GST registration

  • PAN and Aadhaar of the proprietor, partners or directors
  • Photographs
  • Proof of the business address, such as a recent electricity bill or property tax receipt, plus the rent agreement or the owner's consent letter if the premises are not your own
  • Bank account proof, such as a cancelled cheque or statement
  • Partnership deed or incorporation certificate, for firms and companies

Say clearly on the card how documents should reach you — by email, through your client portal or in person. Ask clients not to send documents, portal passwords or bank details through the enquiry form.

How do appointment slots help in busy months?

When due dates come close, walk-ins pile up and the work itself gets pushed to late nights. Appointments on the card let you control when clients come:

  • Set your working hours and slots, and clients choose a free slot within them instead of calling to ask.
  • Open slots only for the hours you can meet clients, and keep the rest of the day free for filing work.
  • Add a line to your card's description: "Please bring the documents listed under ITR filing to your appointment."
  • When the season ends, change the hours back — the link and QR code stay the same.

For questions that do not need a meeting, clients can use the enquiry form. Every enquiry is saved in your dashboard, so you can reply in one sitting at the end of the day.

Where should you share your card?

  • Email signature — add the link below your name and designation, so every reply carries your current address and hours.
  • WhatsApp — reply to a new client with the link. WhatsApp link previews do not always show your name, so send a line first: "CA [your name], [firm name] — services, documents and appointments:" followed by the link.
  • Reception desk — a small QR stand lets visiting clients save your number while they wait.
  • Engagement letters and invoices — print the link or QR next to your contact details.
  • Your paper visiting card — add the QR on the back, so the paper card leads to the current details.

What does it cost?

Every new account starts with a 30-day free trial with Pro features and no payment details. After that, plans start at ₹999 a year or ₹249 a month, or ₹4,999 once for Lifetime.

  • Starter includes services, the enquiry form, appointments, the blog and every template — enough for a factual card.
  • Pro adds password protection, hiding CardLinkr branding, custom QR code design and a count of card views.
  • The Business plan, with three cards and your own domain, suits a small firm with two or three partners. For five or more people, ask us about team cards.

Pay online by UPI, debit or credit card or net banking. When you upgrade, the unused part of your current plan is counted. Compare every plan on the pricing page, or read how to make a digital visiting card step by step.

Frequently asked questions

Can I list my services and fees?

List your services in plain, factual words. Before publishing any fees, check ICAI's current guidance, and never compare your fees with others or advertise discounts. If you are unsure, leave fees off and let clients ask through the enquiry form.

Can I show the CA logo on my digital card?

Check ICAI's current guidance on how members may use the CA logo before adding it. If in doubt, show the CA designation in text only.

How should clients send me their documents?

The way your office already does, such as by email, through your client portal or in person. Say so on your card next to the document checklist, and ask clients not to send documents, portal passwords or bank details through the enquiry form.

Can each partner in my firm have a card?

Yes. Each partner gets their own card and link in the firm's design. The Business plan includes three cards; for five or more people, ask us about team cards.

Can I keep the card for existing clients only?

Yes. Password protection is available on every plan except Starter. Share the password with your clients along with the link, and leave the card out of the business directory.

Do clients need an app to open my card?

No. The card opens in any phone browser from your link or QR code.
